Die after 10 months -*- September 9, 2010 Namtarn Ch. First, I loved it. It fitted nicely (I have a thin wrist) and looks very sporty and such. I wore it every single day, days and nights, in and out shower (it should be water resistance, right?). Even though some of the red color was faded, I still thought it looked nice.
Two days ago, however, it seemed like there was some water and steam inside the face. It happened once before and it went away in a day or so. But this time, it didn't go away and the watch started to display random stuff in the face. Then it made random sound like a robot is dying LOL. And this morning, it was gone. RIP Timex.
Sending it for repair is not worth it. I have to pay the shipping in and $8 shipping out. For the $15 watch, just forget about the warranty. No more Timex. I will stick with Casio. I bought a plain Casio 11 years ago for $10, used it the same way, changed the wrist band 4-5 times, and it still works! I retired it because I wanted something new so I went with Timex last year. For the price $15, I think it's fair. However, I went for Casio to replace this watch.
Beautiful watch August 17, 2010 cleo It is practical, easy to use and cheap. This watch was a gift for my son and he liked
Great, tough, watch, great value. July 28, 2010 Regular Guy 2000 My son, 11, has this watch. He wears it everywhere, including in the pool for swim practice and for all his scouting campouts and activities. The watch has held up well and still looks pretty good after over a year's constant wear.
For the price, I highly recommend this watch.
Outstanding value, just right for my 11-year-old July 17, 2010 nerk_in_chicago (Oak Park, IL United States) I just bought this watch for my 11-year-old son. This watch's smaller face size is a good fit for his wrist. (An alternative is to get a woman's watch that isn't "girly.") My son and I really like its looks with the red sides; it is both sporty and attractive (well, to the extent a digital watch is ever truly attractive). He quickly selected this one when I showed him a number of candidates. It has Indiglo and all the standard Timex digital watch features (chrono, timer, alarm, date, 2nd time zone...), is waterproof to 50m, yet is priced at about half as much as Timex Expedition watches don't do anything more. We were very pleased to find it. Right now Amazon is selling it only for a 3rd party (so no free shipping), and the shipping cost is almost half the cost of the watch, but I found it elsewhere at the same price with free shipping.
good product July 5, 2010 C. Weldon (Visalia, CA) Got this watch so I could wear it in the swimming pool. So far it works great. I'm able to time my workouts and it is comfortable to wear.
