Constructed with a stainless steel case, this everyday timepiece includes a dodecagonal stainless steel bezel, and a black rubber wristband secured with a push-button-deployment clasp. A scratch-resistant-sapphire window shields the black dial, which features silver-dot hour markers framed by a tachymeter. The dial also includes slim minute indexes, three chronograph subdials and a date calendar at the six o'clock position. Featuring Swiss-automatic movement, the watch is water resistant to 330 feet (100 M).In 1973 the Riviera revolutionized the aesthetic watch-making characteristics by being equipped with a dodecagonal case--12 sides for 12 hours, or the geometric expression of a clever dose of innovation, classicism and creativity. I thought it was the perfect watch for my needs, unfortunately it was defective when it arrived. The tachymeter hand was positional and would get stuck at the 12 o'clock position. I returned it and I am still awaiting a response. One would think, someone would evaluate it prior to mailing. I am just very disappointed.

I just bought this watch and I can't believe I did not like it in the begining only because of the plastic band, since all my watches do have stainless steel band.
I have been receiving great compliments about this watch as it is very sporty and at the same time it looks very elegant.
The plastic band feels smooth against my wrist, it is not heavy or bulky.
Beautiful watch.
